KRG Prime Minister Engages in Diplomatic Dialogue with Finland’s Foreign Minister

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a meeting with Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The discussion primarily focused on the January 15th attacks on Erbil, attributed to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which both parties unequivocally condemned.

In addition to addressing this critical security issue, the meeting also centered on strengthening bilateral ties. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation in investment and technology sectors, reflecting a shared commitment to deepening the partnership between the Kurdistan Region and Finland.
