KRG Prime Minister Meets with Medical Aid Initiative Norway

On Monday, 6 May 2024, Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), welcomed Geir Fjeld, Head of International Operations at the Medical Aid Initiative Norway (MAIN). The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the KRG and MAIN, addressing the humanitarian challenges in the Kurdistan Region.

Geir Fjeld confirmed that MAIN would continue to send humanitarian and medical aid to the region and expressed gratitude for the KRG’s efforts in providing shelter and refuge for displaced individuals and refugees in the region.

Prime Minister Barzani, who also serves as the Chairman of the Founding Board of the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), praised MAIN’s assistance, which has been facilitated through a collaborative partnership with BCF, targeting humanitarian projects.
