KRG Prime Minister Bids Farewell to Spanish Ambassador

On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), bid farewell to Pedro Martínez-Avial, the departing Spanish Ambassador to Iraq.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Spain, as well as recent developments in Iraq.

The Prime Minister thanked Ambassador Martínez-Avial for his efforts in enhancing the diplomatic relations between Spain, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region. He also wished him success in his forthcoming role.

The Ambassador thanked the KRG for their support and assistance, noting that it was instrumental to the success of his tenure in Iraq.
