KRG Prime Minister Meets GCC Secretary at World Government Summit

On Tuesday, 11 February, 2025, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The meeting, attended by KRG Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, focused on strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and Gulf states, emphasising shared interests and regional development.

Discussions also covered the situation in Syria, with sides reaffirming their commitment to stability and security while advocating for the protection of the Kurdish and other ethnic and religious communities’ rights.
