Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets Congressman Joe Wilson

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met today with U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson.

They discussed the importance of further strengthening and expanding ties between the Kurdistan Region and the United States.

Prime Minister Barzani conveyed his appreciation for US support to the Kurdistan Region.

They also discussed the recent signing of two major energy agreements between the KRG Ministry of Natural Resources and U.S. companies.

Congressman Wilson welcomed the investments in Kurdistan’s energy sector and noted that such partnerships benefit all of Iraq.

Congressman Wilson reiterated his firm support for a strong and prosperous Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani is in the United States on an official visit.
