Statement by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – I’m deeply concerned by the reports of attacks on Kurdish farmers in Daquq, Kirkuk. I call on the President of Iraq, the Prime Minister, and the President of the House of Representatives to immediately put an end to the assault on Kurdish farmers on the borders of Daquq town and other areas of Kirkuk. These attacks are carried out by the authoritarians who are on a mission to illegally expel Kurdish residents and raid their ancestral lands.

These actions are against the principles of peaceful coexistence and the Constitution, and federal institutions must put an end to these violations.h
