Prime Minister receives the Mayor of Nashville
On Tuesday, May 23, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government cordially received Nashville Mayor John Cooper and his delegation, which included members of the city council as well as the chairman and members of the Sister Cities of Nashville Board.
The meeting primarily focused on strengthening educational and cultural connections between the Kurdistan Region and the United States, with a particular emphasis on fostering a sister city relationship between Erbil and Nashville. The positive contributions of the Kurdish diaspora in Nashville were also highly commended.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the visiting delegation expressed their delight at the opportunity to visit the Kurdistan Region and expressed a strong desire to pursue collaborative projects and initiatives between the two cities.
