KRG Prime Minister Meets President of the Federal Republic of Iraq

On Thursday, September 14, 2023, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) met with Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, President of the Federal Republic of Iraq.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed Erbil-Baghdad relations, with a special focus on the recent events in Kirkuk and Shingal, as well as the financial entitlements and rights of the Kurdistan Region.

Highlighting the significance of the constitution, Prime Minister Barzani appealed to President Rashid to wield his presidential authority in safeguarding the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region.
