KRG Prime Minister Meets with UAE President and UN Secretary General

On December 1, 2023, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) inauguration in Dubai. He was welcomed by Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, and António Guterres, the UN Secretary General.

Prime Minister Barzani plans to engage with various leaders during the conference, focusing on combating the adverse impacts of climate change on the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and global society.
