KRG Prime Minister Meets the Prime Minister of Jordan at World Economic Forum

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), met with Bisher Khasawneh, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Khasawneh conveyed greetings from HM King Abdullah to Prime Minister Barzani and the people of the Kurdistan Region.

The two leaders unanimously condemned the January 15th attacks on Erbil by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, labeling them as unjust and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.

The talks also focused on enhancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Jordan, specifically on boosting investment and strengthening bilateral trade.
