Prime Minister Masrour Barzani receives German Parliamentary State Secretary

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) — Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today received German Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defence, Siemtje Möller.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked Germany for their continued support of the Peshmerga forces and acknowledged the recent decision by the German parliament and government to extend their mandate in the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, both sides also discussed strengthening bilateral relations, advancing reforms within the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs and ensuring security in Iraq and the broader region.

They agreed on the need to quickly form a new Kurdistan Regional Government cabinet.

They also touched on the recent developments in the Middle East, stressing the importance of peace and stability in the region.
