PM Masrour Barzani’s message on the Yazidi New Year

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani issued the following statement on the Yezidi New Year occasion:

“With the arrival of the Yazidi New Year, I congratulate all my Yazidi brothers and sisters in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and across the world. I hope that you celebrate this occasion in peace and joy.

“I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that we are continuing to work for the rights of Yazidis with the federal government and the international community.

“We are also working to stabilize the security situation in Shingal (Sinjar) and surrounding areas by expelling all illegal armed forces who are hindering the reconstruction of those areas and the safe return of the Yezidis to their homes.”
