KRG Prime Minister Commemorates 2004 Erbil Bombing

On February 1, 2024, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani marked the 20th anniversary of the Erbil bombings by paying tribute to the victims. In a solemn ceremony, Prime Minister Barzani laid a wreath at the monument in Sami Abdulrahman Park, Erbil, honouring those lost in the February 1, 2004 tragedy.

The devastating attacks, which targeted the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) offices, resulted in over 100 fatalities and hundreds of injuries.
