PM Masrour Barzani meets with Deputy Commander of Coalition Forces

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today met with Deputy Commander General for the Coalition Forces in Iraq and Syria, Brigadier General Karl Harris.

The discussion centered on reforms of the Ministry of Peshmerga, intended to consolidate the security capabilities of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), as well as on the measures taken to unify the Peshmerga forces.

Prime Minister Barzani and Deputy Commander Harris highlighted the significance of continued cooperation between the Peshmerga and Iraqi forces, especially in disputed territories where the threat of the Islamic State (ISIS) persists.

The meeting also touched upon recent developments in Iraq and the wider area, particularly on current attempts to form a new Iraqi government.
